Our Admissions

Elaine Riddick Charter School (ERCS) opens in August 2021 and will serve grades K-4. Each year, the school will add another grade until reaching Grade 8. Once a student is accepted into the school, the student is not required to reapply each year.  For example, a student who is accepted in Kindergarten may remain enrolled in the school until the completion of Grade 8 without having to submit a new application each year.

ERCS’s Initial Student Enrollment Application can be filled out by Clicking Here.  ERCS is a free school of choice that selects students chosen in a random lottery. In order to be eligible, you must apply in person or using our online application form.

Students which are " Educationally Disadvantaged" shall have their chances of being selected number place in the lottery drawing (2X) which accordingly increases their chances of being selected in the lottery drawing.  " Educationally Disadvantaged" shall include (1) students who are economically disadvantaged in accordance with federal poverty guidelines used to determine free or reduced-price lunch eligibility, (2) students with disabilities, (3) students who are English language learners, (4) Homeless students, (5) Immigrant or Migrant students, and (5) Unaccompanied students (not residing with parents, including students who have been adjudicated as " delinquent" by the courts).
